Nature Still Moves

Title

Nature Still Moves

Description

Over the recent months of 2020 the world has come to a halt to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. As many of us sit confined in our homes we may be distanced from our favorite places, activities, and people. Feelings of stress and depression can emerge as we wonder when everything will return to normal. In these photographic works I captured images of birds attracted to a feeder just off my porch. The images, all taken on the same tree show various species of birds coming and going to feed on seed.

I’ve attempted to capture the hustle and bustle of the natural world as it moves around this one location. Birds come and go as does the sun and clouds. The works capture the dynamic beauty of nature even in one single spot. Life may feel a bit stagnant now but rest assured; the world is still moving out there, it is still beautiful, and it will be there to enjoy when we return to normalcy.
